Ok, this post isn’t all that fun, but I had to get it off my mind.
Consider this a public service announcement: if you own a Roomba, don’t buy cheap parts.
I recently bought some replacement parts for my Roomba (whose name is Fred by the way) and every day since, I have come home to find him lonely, afraid, and drained of life in a darkened corner of the house.
It’s sad.
Apparently the cheap parts aren’t milled the same way and don’t handle the bumps and bruises of sweeping floors – the hair balls, the dust, the bits of things that fell off my lap when I stood up, the random spider – I don’t know what on that list is so bad, but every single day it gives up hope and stops about 10 minutes into its cycle.
Grrrrr. That’s what I get for being cheap.
